Objective:  The students will discuss yesterday's story and try to figure out the five (or more) symbols presented.

1.  Grab the story and the handout.

2.  Work with a partner to complete the questions.  On the back, make a list of at least FIVE things that you think might be a symbol.

Day 140

Objective:  The students will discuss what a symbol is, how to find one, and then read a great story with several cool symbols.

Turn in Vocabulary

1.  Literature Notes:  Symbolism

2.  Silently read "The Beginning of Grief" and as you read try to figure out the symbols.

Day 139

Objective:  The students will know important vocabulary for the first part of LOTF.

 I am sure you all finished the outside reading book so be sure to do the report now.  Format is on warrenmlk.com.

We start Lord of the Flies on Wednesday.  If you buy it and close read it, you get up to 100 points RC.

If you missed the JC Test, take it today!

4.  When you are done with the test...  Scan it and put the percentage on the paper.

Objective:  The students will complete their Roman Newspaper.

Tomorrow is the JC Final worth 300 points.

1.  Complete the newspaper

2.  Get your notes packet ready to get an A on tomorrow's test.  No reviews allowed but everything else is good.

Objective:  The students will work on their Roman Newspaper.

3.  When you are done, scan the test and WRITE THE PERCENTAGE ON YOUR SCAN SHEET!
