     Ray Bradbury suggests in his story The Pedestrian that television can be used to control society.  Many people feel that the stories theme is not applicable to society today.  People are used to many different forms of entertainment and technology.  Today we have computers cell phones and video games that distract us more then television, so you can’t be distracted by very easily.

“The Pedestrian”

 

     Ray Bradbury wrote this cautionary tail that shows a society in which people are isolated in there homes instead of being outside.  The story’s setting is an urban city in the year 2053.  The people are so isolated that a loan pedestrian is seen as a threat to social order.  The main character Leonard Mead is stopped and questioned by the police for simply walking down the street.
