Stump the Teacher Day

Objective:  The teacher wants to give out Extra Credit to those students who have read Chapters 51-60  and completed their OWN questions.

1.  Get out your Stump the Teacher Questions.
2.  One Question Quiz.  Pass= Play.  Fail= Essay.
3.  Ask Questions and Get 5 points for each question I don't know.

Holiday Week:  No Homework.  We will finish Monte Cristo by December 6 ON YOUR OWN.  The final 300 point test will be Friday December 6..

Objective:  The students will read a short story and work to identify the overlying themes and the author's use of figurative language.

1.  CST #28
2.  Notes
3.  Read "Catch the Moon" on 234 and work on assignment at the same time.
4.  Complete "Stump the Teacher" for tomorrow.  Remember, I will ask a random question to all classes (one from a different chapter for each class).  If you don't know the answer, you can not participate in Stump the Teacher, you will take a zero on the assignment, and you will work on an essay while we do it.

Objective:  The students will analyze a poem that is very similar to "The Bass..."

1.  Get lit books and folders.
2.  CST #27
3.  Complete yesterday's work with "The Bass..."
4.  Read the poem on page 251.  Add the final question to your assignment.
5.  Stump the Teacher.  You should be at minimum on Chapter 53.

Start Writing Your Stump the Teacher Questions! Don't wait until Thursday.

Objective:  The students will analyze the characters and the theme of The Bass....

Objective:  The students will read a coming of age story about a kid who likes a girl... and a fish.

1.  Get lit books and folders.  And if those books and folders are put back a mess like that again, I will start taking points away from your grades!!)

Homework:  Relax and read Monte Cristo....   The book should be getting SOOO good to those of you who a really reading (not skimming or reading SPARK Notes... Tyler)

Objective:  The students will discuss and show knowledge of Monte Cristo and then know important words for this week's story.

Wednesday Already?

Objective:  The students will all show how smart they are by getting an "A" on the Chapter 3 Lit Book Test.

1.  Get folder.  Look over the Chapter 3 Review for a second (especially what we covered yesterday).
2.  Turn in Review for 100 points.
3.  Get the test answer sheet and the test.
4.  Do the front side of the test (my section) and turn the paper over and answer the Multiple Choice Part on the back.  Do Not Write on the Test Handout.
5.  Monte Cristo 49.  A Very short chapter.  Quiz tomorrow.

Objective:  The students will review al elements of Chapter 3 from lit book for tomorrow's test.
