Last Vocab Assignment of the Year

Objective:  The students will know important vocabulary for the remainder of LOTF.

1.  Turn in Dialectic for Chapter 4.
2.  Get Vocab sheets.
3.  Complete vocab.

Homework:  Read Chapter 5.  No Dialectic needed.

2.  Get LOTF Chapter 3 Dialectic and score, then discuss.
3.  Complete Dialectic for Chapter 4.  This is the last one you will do.

4.  Discuss Group Presentations.

Go watch some girls play football and boys cheer tonight at 6.

Objective:  The students will discuss the important aspects of Chapter 2 then work on Chapter 3.

1.  WP #15 (Put Chapter 2 Dialectic on desk for quick grade)
2.  Discuss Chapter 2 Dialectic
3.  Read Chapter 3 and complete your own dialectic.  You must have a minimum of 10 important passages analyzed.

Objective:  The students will read and analyze Chapter 2 of LOTF.

1.  Get out your COMPLETED Chapter 1 Dialectic Journal for me to see real quick.
2.  Discuss the responses that you came up with compared to mine.
3.  Turn in for points.
4.  Read Chapter 2 and complete new Chapter 2 Handout.

This is homework if you do not finish in class.  Due first thing tomorrow.

3.  Tomorrow I will be out grading your district finals.  And it's testing schedule, so it's going to be a long day with a sub.  BE GOOD!!

Objective:  The students will write a wonderful essay and show that they have learned a ton from their incredible teacher!

1.  Look over your prompt and notes again.
2.  Organize and write.

Hints:
1.  Have a cool title.
2.  Write so it can be read.  Legible!  Jaylen!!!
3.  Use Inverted Triangle to Intro paper.
4.  Use at least one quote PROPERLY in each paragraph.
5.  Five well written paragraphs will be enough!

Staple the prompt to your essay and turn it in when finished.

District Writing Test

Objective:  The students will discuss the expectations of this year's writing final and begin outlining their paper.

1.  Library to check out Lord of the Flies.  Go inside!  No IDs to the back of the line.

2.  Correct Vocab and turn in.

3.  Get the Writing Prompt and a highlighter and a pen/pencil and some paper.

4.  Discuss the prompt.  Take notes.  Listen and share so that we all pass.
