District Writing Test

Objective:  The students will write the district writing test and they will pass because they are such good writers and they have listened and learned this year.

Login is the student ID number
Password is the student birthday for example: 1/1/2002 and no zero before the 1

1.  Your Research papers are in.  I will call you up one at a time and give you your paper.  There are two scores on it.  The Writing Grade is worth 100 and the Formatting Grade is worth 100.

The teacher who graded them did a couple things different than I do.  Numbers are an issue.  Also citing (she wants way more citations in each paragraph for each quote).

If you are unhappy with your grade, I will re read it.  BUT, I would be happy with what you have.  If I have to re read it, I will REALLY REALLY READ IT!  And 5 points per error is the way that I grade.  Your choice.  For the 5 people who have had me do this, they were not happy.

2.  District writing Day 1

Friday, March 01, 2019

A Day or Two off Julius Caesar

Objective:  The students will begin work on the District Writing Assessment

1.  Get and discuss the prompt.  Do not lose it.  I don't have enough for more.

2.  Get your Poem Packet.  Discuss what you are going to do with them.

3.  Begin analysis.  I will collect materials each day.  Do you must use class time wisely.  NO TIME AT HOME WILL BE GIVEN TO COMPLETE THE ESSAY!

4.  Outside Reading.  Only one person (Natalie C) has listened to me about doing the book for homework this semester.  That means that you haven't done any homework for this class other than a little from the research paper.

5.  We have one more week of Caesar.  Then we start our class novels.  You were silly to not listen.  Also, if you plan on dressing on Ides of March instead of doing the book, that won't work.  No book, no extra credit.  I will take the points off.
