1.  Finish up.

Thursday, March 27, 2014

Objective:  The students will continue writing, organizing and printing their newspaper for tomorrow's deadline of THE END OF THE PERIOD of your class.

1.  Remember:  And article in a newspaper answers 6 Essential Questions:  Who, What, Where, When, How and Why?  All articles must have a "byline" (which says By Joe Blow).

2.  Remember:  Your paper NEEDS to LOOK like a newspaper like the back board samples.

If you are going to be absent tomorrow (as I hear many of you are going to be... Lough), your paper and your contribution is due.

Newsroom 3

Objective:  The students will use knowledge of play and SOME CREATIVITY to create a Roman Newspaper.

1.  How am I gonna grade these?  Well based on effort that I have seen the last two days by many groups....  I have decided to grade like this...

I will pick the best.  It gets an A.
I will pick the worst:  It gets an F.

The rest will fall in between.  A-, B, B-, C, C-, D, D-.  So you have two chances against the rest of the class for an A.

Let's see if that motivates you!  :)

Newsroom 2

Objective:  The students will continue producing their Roman Newspaper.

1.  If you need to take the test.  Do it.
2.  If I need to see your book.  Bring it up.
3.  If you need the Roman Newspaper Instructions.  Get it up here.
4.  Continue work on newspapers.  I have some samples of real ones on the back with things you need labeled.

Remember:  This project should look like a GROUP worked on it for 5 days.  If it is just thrown together, expect a grade that represents that effort.
