Day 169

Objective:  The students will turn in their last assignment.

Zero Period:  Do Not Come to Class anymore.  You are done.  I enjoyed you all.  You are a funny bunch.

Finals:  I don't believe in Finals.  You have worked 5 months for your grade so why add stress of a final test that may lower your grade.

If you come to finals day, you will stay the entire period.  There will be no wandering around, no calling mom and dad saying, "We aren't doing anything, can I leave?"  You will be here with me in class enjoying you last 2 1/2 hours of D203.

Poetry Intro

Many poems will have the same elements as short stories.  It will have a plot with an exposition, rising action climax and resolution.  The characters will be less developed because a poem is more compact.  Poems will also have themes.  Poets will try to create strong images for the readers to see, here, taste, smell and feel what is happening.
