Lord of the Flies
Chapter 3 WP
Chapter Three of Lord of the flies sets to further develop the character of Jack and show his devolution. The strong-willed, egomaniacal Jack is the novels primary representative of the instinct of savagery, violence, and the desire for power. From the beginning of the novel Jack desires power above all other things. Jack casts off all moral restraint and embracing violence and savagery. It is easy to see that he is the Antithesis of Ralph.
