Happy Halloween

Objective:  The students will watch more of the Monte Cristo movie.

Last Two Days of MC

Objective:  Students will compare our book to the most recent film adaptation.

1.  Finish reading Monte Cristo (300 point test is on Friday)

2.  Monte CRisto CD Project is due next Thursday.

3.  Movie beginning.  Relax and enjoy.  It's a good movie although very different from the book.

Satire Unit Complete: So What Did You Learn

Objective:  The students will read and analyze a satire on their own.

Objective:  The students will complete their ORIGINAL satire.

1.  Satire is due tomorrow.  Remember, it must be ORIGINAL.  If I can find one like it online, it is plagiarism.  Due printed tomorrow.

District Essay

Objective:  The students will write a great essay!

1.  How did you like Chapter 45?  It got a bit intense!

2.  District essay.  Be sure not to slap quotes.

3.  Monte CRisto Chapter 46 reading.  New character:  Valentine's grandma and grandpa.

You Get the Day off tomorrow!

Objective:  The students will discuss the MC CHapters with one another and the teacher and then read one of the best Chapters of the book:  The Summer Ball

Three Day Weekend!!!

Objective:  The students will practice writing using integrated quotes.

1.  Integrated quote writing using the Mercedes recognizes the Count scene.

2.  Discuss the Cavalcanti's (the fake rich guys)

3.  Work on MC Music Projects.  Due in three weeks (approx)

Directions for writing:  Write a detailed paragraph where you didcuss the idea that Mercedes DOES recognize Dantes when they meet at her home after 24 years apart.  Use specific details from the scene to support your claim.
