Finish up Literature Circles

Objectives: Students will complete literature circle packets so that can engage in small group discussion to prepare for a larger class discussion of chapter 6 in Animal Farm.

1. Begin literature circle small group discussions.
   note: Take brief notes of what your group members have to share!

2. Share any ideas or questions you have from chapter 6.

3. Begin a close reading of chapter 7.

Literacy Circles!

Objective: Students will read individually but work collaboratively to complete the different literacy role tasks for chapter 6 of Animal Farm.

1. Take out Animal Farm booklet.

2. Form groups of 5 for the literature circles and assign roles.

3. Discuss chapter 5 of Animal Farm using literacy circle.

4. Individually read chapter 6 and work on assigned task as you read.

5. Discuss with your literacy groups what you found.

Objective:  The students will work through Chapter 5 of AF.

1.  Pulled Quote Quiz Chapter 4.

2.  Close Read Chapter 5.  And complete character and historical connection packet.

1.  Monte Cristo Tests Graded:  I really like this test.  I think it shows how you read.  If you read less than 70% of the book, that's probably the grade that you earned.

     6= 95-100 (mostly 100)
