Turn in Registration Day

Objective:  The students will visit counselors individually to turn in and discuss registration for next year's classes.

1.  Walk down to counselors.  Be sure all paper work is complete.
2.  Outside Book (since we don't know when everyone will return.

Thanks for being so well behaved for the sub yesterday.  Everyone gets 1000 extra credit points.

Objective:  The students will pass the ACT I Test and complete an Act I Story Board.

1.  Look over the Act I Review for a few minutes.
2.  Take the test.
3.  Complete the first three boxes of the story board for Act I as shown on the sample.

I like 4 day weeks!

Objective:  The students will review all parts of Act I for Monday's test.

1.  Good morning.  Get your folders and book.

Finishing Up the Act

Reading and Translating

Junior Year Registation Information

Objective:  The students will listen respectfully to the counselor's presentation and ask questions about what they need to do for next year.

1.  Get your outside book approved by today.  I want titles.  If you change, you need to let me know.
2.  Counselor presentation/discussion.

Homework:  Work on registration.  It is due back at school signed and complete next Wednesday!

First Day of the PLay

Objective:  The students will start the play.

1.  Get folders and lit books.  Sign up for extra credit roles.
2.  CST #6
3.  Correct Vocab.
4.  Act I Notes
5.  Read a bit of the play.
6.  Complete Notes.

Homework:  Four days off.  A perfect opportunity to read!

Act I Vocab.

Objective:  The students will know important vocabulary to start reading tomorrow.

Julius Caesar Intro Lecture

Objective:  The students will know the background information about Julius Caesar (the man) that is important to know before we read.

Julius Caesar Starts Today!

Objective:  The students will know basic Shakespeare information that will be discussed throughout the Julius Caesar unit.

1.  Get lit books and folders.
2.  Prep your Research Paper for turn in and grading.
3.  Turn it in.
4.  Complete JC INtro Notes Sheet.  Due tomorrow complete.

Important Dates:  March 14.  JC Dress Up Day for Extra Credit
                           March 22 Book Report 3 Due

Peer Editing and Publishing

Objective:  Students will use the Peer Editing Sheet to make a final assessment of their partners Research Paper.

1.  Get Peer Edit Sheet and fill out the appropriate information.
2.  Get 50 points for having the paper here for final edit.
3.  Edit papers and complete Peer Edit Sheet.
4.  Return paper to writer with Edit Sheet stapled on top.

Homework:  Publish paper for me to read and grade.  It should be perfect (or close to it).

Final Day for any last minute work....

Objective:  The students will complete all parts of the Research Paper and put it all together in one neat, clean published document.

1.  Today finish anything you need to do on the paper.
2.  Put it all together, with Works Cited page, into one document.
3.  Print it out and bring it in tomorrow for Final Peer Edit and the last 50 points.

Complete Paper due tomorrow.  Works cited included.  No points if it is not totally complete.

Almost Done!!!

Objective:  The students will complete editing of Part III of the research paper and then write their final part... The closing.

1.  Get out Part III for editing and points.  50 for having it.  Zero for not.
2.  Edit using checklist.
3.  Write Part IV:  The close.  Use Easy Bib to complete the Works Cited page.

Thursday:  Final bits of writing.
Friday:  Final Edit

How is that outside book?

Late Start/Early Release Day

Objective:  The students will complete writing of Part III of research paper.

1.  If you did not get yesterday's Part II edited and the points, you need to do that first today.
2.  Continue writing part III.  It is due tomorrow.

Monday:  Edit and start Part III

Wednesday:  Part III due for edit
Thursday:  Part IV
Friday:  Final Edit

Monday:  Final Draft due in "Publish" form.  Begin Julius Caesar.

2.  Discuss Part III (I have no example of that part because it will look just like Part II).
