Week 1 and Done Aready!

Objective:  Students will complete their in class essay and show the teacher how well you organize, support and write your ideas.

1.  Get your class folder.
2.  Quiz Number 1
3.  Complete Essay.  Turn in only papers from the prompt through your essay.

Homework:  I would find my outside book.  I would probably also start reading it if it already on the list and approved.  AND!!!  Have a great weekend.  Go OREGON!

Day Four

Objective:  Students will discuss the breaking down of a writing prompt, how to write a thesis, and how to plan (pre-write) their essay.

1.  Get folders.
2.  No CST Today
3.  Discuss Writing Prompt
4.  Discuss Thesis and Intro Paragraph
5.  Essay Set Up

Homework:  It would be smart to look into outside books.

Three!

Objective:  The students will discuss how they should complete their Outside Reading Requirement, download the honors book list, and start thinking about what book they want to choose.

1.  Put folder and Lit Book on your desk for points.
2.  CS #2
3.  Discuss Outside Reading Schedule:  First Book Report Due:  October 19.  Second Book Report Due:  January 11.  Plan accordingly.
4.  Active Reading:  Three End Notes.  We will do this after every story that we Active Read.
5.  Complete Questions in packet.

Homework:  Complete Questions if not finished in class.

Objective:  The students will complete their first CST exercise and complete AR the short story.

1.  Folder, Book Discussion
2.  CST #1
3.  Honors Book List
4.  Discuss pages 3-6 of yesterday's story reading.
5.  Complete story.

Homework:  Supplies by Wednesday.  Complete the story (not the nonfiction piece).
