Last Day to Make IT Perfect

Objective:  The students will get their entire paper read and edited from start to finish.

1.  Exchange your whole paper, from Part 1 through the Works Cited page.

2.  Read and Edit.

When you are done, on the paper that you edited write the following:

I, _______________________, read and edited this paper and I have marked all of the errors, verified the sources and citations and written suggestions for corrections. 

If the paper is bad, you will lose points.

That fish.... It's Alive!

Objective:  The students will complete the final editing of their research paper which is due on Thursday.

1.  Walk down to the counselors' offices and complete next year's registration.

2.  When you return, show me your completed Part 4 for 50 points, then give it to your editor.  Make final changes.

3.  Tomorrow bring the entire paper in as ONE COMPLETE DOCUMENT that follows MLA formatting and everything that I have covered.  You will have one final edit by your reader.

Objective:  Students will know some important vocabulary for this week's reading.

1.  Sit anywhere.  I am making a new seating chart so if you want to change seats, now is the time.

2.  Get the two handouts.

3.  Discuss Outside Reading and the schedule for this semester.   
     1)  Research Paper (2 weeks)
     2)  Julius Caesar (4 weeks)
So I would do the Outside Reading Requirement during the first 6 weeks.
