One week done already! Now that wasn't so bad huh!?!

Objective:  The students will write an incredible essay displaying accurate reading, in depth analysis and their best writing
1.  get your folder and lit book and put it on your desk.
2.  Discuss the Honors Book List.
3.  Write your essay on your own paper.  Include heading, a "catchy" title and five well written, very legible writing.  Use one side of the paper only.

Homework:  Have a fun, safe three day weekend!  And try to order/buy the outside book of your choice from the list (or some other book that you think will be approved and help you someday in college).

Today we start writing.

Objective:  The students will make final end notes on Active Reading (called the Three End Notes) and begin writing their essay.

1.  NO CST Today.
2.  Write the Three End Notes (Active Reading 4,5,6).
3.  Discuss the Writing Prompt
4.  Writing Notes and Intro Paragraphs
5.  Write the Intro

Bring supplies tomorrow.  Folder, book covered, Honors Book List, etc...

Objective:  The students will complete reading of the story, then find one or two facts about the author in the biographical article that they will use in the essay.

Hello Everyone!  Today let's discuss Bathroom and Eating/Drinking Policies for class.

1.  CST #2
2.  Complete Reading.  Also read the author information.  You do not have to active read it, but find two or three facts about the author that you can use in the essay.  (You may want to look at the essay prompt now on page 23 of the packet)
3.  Homework:  Supplies and covered book by Friday.  Outside Book by Monday.  Print Honors Book List and put in folder.
