The Cancer Softball Day!

Objective:  The students and teacher will discuss their final project and the Final Exam.

1.  Discuss Final Project.
2.  Final Exam.  We will take the district final exam.  Here is how it works:

a)  If you have a LEGIT "A" in the class.  You don't have to take it.  That does not mean I am telling you not to show up!

b)  If you get an "A" on the Final, your grade goes up 3%.  "B" on the Final, your grade goes up 1%.

Softball Donations:  Here in class, or at the game.  1 buck = 10 points.

Night is over.

Objective:  The students will show that they read Night and can apply literary devices/terms to the book.

1.  Get test and answer sheet.
2.  Set up back of answer sheet like the back board.
3.  Pass the test.

 Note:  You can only use one part of the book for ONE answer on the Lit. Devices part.  For example, you can't use the part where Elie reunites with his mother at the end as both the resolution and faction both.

Assembly Day (hooray)

Objective:  The students will complete their metaphor poems (typed by Tuesday) and complete reading of Night.

1.  You have three things you can be doing:  Metaphor Poem, Finish Night, Finish Haiku, or Complete Your Outside Book.

2.  Metaphor Poem (due Tuesday) and Haiku (due Wednesday).

3.  Add these questions to the back of the Chapter 2 Handout:
           1)  What type of novel is this?
           2)  What is Faction?
           3)  What part of Chapter 2 could be considered faction?  (I am not sure, but it could be).
4.  Read Chapter 3 today.  Tomorrow Quiz on 2-3.

Objective:  The students will do a mini-into assignment to refresh their memory of Holocaust terms and events for Night.

3.  Complete both sides for 100m points using any source possible for the information.
4.  Book Checkout at specified time.

Last Extra Credit of the Year:  Seniors, Staff and Softball Against Cancer game.  May 30.  Free to attend.

Donate to the American Cancer Society:  Extra 10 points per dollar.  Up to 200 points.

Isn't that like buying a grade?  Yep.  But it's for a good cause.
