Last Call for District Essay

Objective:  The students will complete a great essay for the district writing test.

1.  Complete Essay.

2.  Staple Prompt to the top.

3.  Be good for sub tomorrow.  I will be down the hall grading them.  If I walk in and see you being silly... I will grade your essay while I am in a bad mood!

Spring Time: A Perfect Time to Grow!

Objective:  The students will write a perfect district essay.

1.  Get the prompt.

2.  Go over the prompt with me.  Let's discuss what it's asking you to do since it's so confusing.

3.  Brainstorm 3 pieces to write about and three universal truths that are revealed by the writer.

Outline your essay.  Remember that you have to use integrated quotes to get a good grade.  SO you will need to go back to each work that you will use and find two or three good quotes to include.

Schedule for the week:
     Monday:  Outline
     Tuesday:  Write and Drill (each period will have a different drill scenario).
     Wed:  Write.  Paper is due this day.
     Thursday:  Finish Julius Caesar (I will be out grading)
     Friday:  Finish JC and review for Final on JC when we get back.

1.  Act III Review.  Use notes and books.  YOU MUST WORK ALONE.  IF I SEE YOU TALK TO SOMEONE OR SEE A PHONE OUT, I will give you a ZERO.

2.  IT IS DUE TODAY.

I AM NOT HAPPY WITH THE EFFORT THAT I HAVE BEEN SEEING FROM MANY OF YOU LATELY!

AND NO MORE RESTROOM FIVE MINUTES BEFORE CLASS IS OVER.  YOU DON'T COME BACK!

AND NO MORE EATING IN CLASS!  I FOUND AN EMPTY CUP O NOODLES JUST SITTING IN TH BACH ROW FOR ME TO PICK UP AND THROW AWAY!
