Monte CRisto is Getting Good!!!

Objective:  The students will look closely into the author's diction that he used to characterize his main characters at the beginning of the book.

1.  MC Quiz 4-6.  And discuss.

2.  Characters and Diction

a) Get in groups of up to five people:

b) Pick one of the following characters from Chapters 1-6.  Dantes, Danglars, Fernand, Caderouse, Mercedes, Mr. Morrel, Villefort.

c) Look in book at words that the author uses to describe the character and his actions.  Pick at least 15 words that help characterize that person.

d)  Make a Google Slide to present to the class.

Read Chapters 7-9.

I literally spent 9 hours yesterday reading 4 classes of essays!!! That's TOO LONG!!!!

Objective:  The students will know the expectations for integrating quotes into their writing.
