Counselor in class to visit and chat.

Objective:  The students will discuss all parts of Chapters 11-20 of Monte Cristo that they may have found confusing.

1.  Get out study guides and folders.
2.  Discuss any questions on study guide.
3.  Counselor and Student Discussion
4.  If time, 12 page essay on the symbolism of the way that Dantes escapes the Chateau D'if.

Homework:  Catch up on Monte Cristo if you are behind (Erick, Dylan, etc!)

It Feels Like I Just Left This Place!!!!

Objective:  The students will show that they know how authors create Plot by passing a test with an A or B. 

1.  Look over your notes for a few minutes.
2.  Chapter 1 Test
3.  Monte Cristo Projects
4.  Pass back all work and organize folders.

Homework:  Outside Book.  Your First Book Report is due on October 19th.  Do not wait until the last week.  It is not a good idea.  Next week we push harder through Monte Cristo!

Back to School Night!!! Welcome Parents

Objective:  The students will review for the chapter 1 test.

1.  Turn in Monte Cristo Study Guide
2.  MC Quiz 7-10
3.  Complete "Long Way Home"
4.  Complete Poster
5.  Monte Cristo Projects
6.  Lit Book Chapter 1 Review:  Test Tomorrow.

By the end of the period I need all corrected work passed out and in folders.  Put folders away standing up neatly.

Homework:  Outside Book or get caught up in Monte Cristo.  Next week we start going faster through it!

Objective:  The students will create a poster for the classroom by picking words from a letter that fit the "Connotation" of the subject that they choose.
